Welcome to my web-site
I have been interested in photography for a very long time; long before I had a camera I found the photographic image - especially monochrome - very enticing and I haven't yet found the need to add all those extra variables - called colour - to confuse me in my image making. I first used a camera whilst at college, in the days when education encouraged a wider view of life and from there my passion for creating images has developed. It is extremely challenging to find a path that is seldom trod in photography but my drive has always been to explore my subject from an original or different point of view.
I no longer have a darkroom, however my image making is both film and digital creation and I still believe the best way to appreciate an image is via a print.
I have developed my photography essentially as an individual with the exception of a few mentors for whose generous judgement, advice and creative energy I will be forever grateful. I would like therefore to thank Bryan Goodwin, Barry Thornton and Adrian Joyner.
I have been fortunate enough to have my work published in magazines, books and in salons and there some who have my pictures in their homes.
